The hoof trimmer I had looked like sheep shears and it was easy to use for me since I have small hands.
Or a horse hoof trimmer/nipper works well but you have to use both hands but however someone will have to hold the leg up steadily for you. I had big goats and I get backaches from squatting so low that my father made us a ramp with feeder. That saved the back big time but no help on keeping the leg up for trimming.
Nowadays, I see horse farriers having those metal shoe tree with a 'U' on top that they would put the horses fetlock inside that U and they place their own feet on bottom flange of the metal tree and trim and rasp away. Works for miniature horses. If you know of someone that has metal workmanship or welding, I am sure they can make you a U metal tree for you. I will see if I can find an example of it online.
