What kind of grandmother??!!

Squishy's mom here....yeah the one getting all the teasing from the young whipersnapper! I used to be a cook in a nursing home and would tell her how some of the patients had to have pureed food. We had to puree everything..If dinner was hamburgers with tomato and lettuce the whole lot, buns and all went into the blender

french fries...were blended seperate.

So that's what I get threatened with on a daily basis...blended food, sewing her daughters clothes, stick me out on the porch churning butter, peeling vegies and processing chickens for her dinner

So yeah...when/If I get a hold of a hoveround...there will be some speeding involved

Last night we discussed the false teeth I might have. I could use em like a hand puppet and chase her around with them...in my hoveround.........................going chompy! chompy! chompy! Ha! she has no idea what old people can get up to.

*insert evil laugh*

I want a hoveround and I want to at least pretend that I'm senile just I can say exactly what I'm thinking and not get questioned on it

When I say "Hey you, loudmouth, get me a cookie" all I want to hear in return is "such a sweet old senile lady..."

What's that word for a grandma thats kind of flamboyant, completely random and generally happy? hmmm...it will come to me, but that's the one I was to be!

eccentric maybe?

I have two boys. One is 29 and one is 8. I like to raise my children like they are onlies. Think I'm done though.

The older one likes to point out that he gets to chose the home I end up in (he says "watch it old lady I get to chose ....."), while the younger still wants me to live with him.

I have great relationships with both my boys and know that if needed they would take care of me, and as my older son says it would be a laugh a minute.

I have a sick sence of humor that I inherited from my dad. He's still crazy fun and if you give him an in he will find something to say that will leave you in stiches.

I have 7 brothers and sisters and half of us are like my dad and the other half always have their panties in a twist. Life would just be miserable to not be able to laugh at myself and everthing else I can find amusing. Messing with my boys minds (especially the older one now, but the younger is starting to get the hang of it) will always be my lifes greatest work. I want them to reminise about me while I'm gone and laugh. Of course they do that now when I'm out of the room. I'm so proud to pass on a family tradition!

My grandma was the most amazing lady. My dad always says she was the mother he wished he had. She was so polish and had such a thick accent it was fun just listening to her. She was the sweetest and most loving lady. I learnt to cook and bake from her. And bake she could! The Lady owned a bakery so I learnt to make roses for wedding cakes when I was little. She taught me the love of animals, gardening, and cooking. I learnt canning and freezing from my mother and father. My parents taught me most of what I know about raising animals for food. If we didn't hunt it, fish it, or raise it we didn't eat it. I think I would be an amalgamation of them. I would like to pass on some of the more useful tidbits of knowledge, but my 8 year old seems to be the only one interested. Can only wait for a daughter in law or a grand daughter and my son is busy getting his degree since he's been out of the military. Course I would never push for that as then I would have to admit that I'm getting OLD. Oh my gosh that couldn't happen could it?
