Does anyone have any chicken breed ideas for me? I want to get some hatching eggs soon, but don’t know what breed to get. Thank you!

Sussex, silver laced Wyandotte, jersey giant, olive egger, and Easter egger!
If I where you, I would find someone nearby (with pretty birds, or nice birds or pretty eggs, whatever your looking for) who would sell you some bym (barnyard mix) eggs cheap. I’ve even had people let me take some eggs if I’m hatching some of my own already. Just a suggestion!

Do you have any temperature requirements? (Cold hardy or heat hardy, etc.)

I've never had a Lavender Orpington but they seem really cool!

What are your goals (ie, why do you keep chickens)? And what do you plan to do with any chickens you aren't keeping? Do you think you would want breeds that are similar to the ones you already have? Or are you thinking about getting something completely different? Are you looking for a breed that does well in confinement? Free Rangers that are good at evading predators? Do you have any weather extremes that might make a particular breed a good or not great choice?

It's hard to recommend a breed if your answer to all of these questions is "idk, chickens."

Eta: Also, are you looking to do shipped or locally sourced hatching eggs?
