We have the following:
A 17 year old large white Appy named Kirby [Sweeping Up]I use for English and Jumping trained at the University of Findlay
A 17 year old 3/4 Arab chestnut gelding named Hey Dude I use for barrels and fun shows
A 28 year old little white retired Arab named Sonny I used to use, he was skinny a year ago but is gaining weight really well with 12 pounds of grain and alfalfa hay.
Also a 2 year old mini paint donkey named Buckaroo if that counts! He is EVIL!
We have had many others in the past including an absolutly MAGNIFICENT Paso Fino gelding named Vanero De Paz meaning ''Flag of Peace'' who had been to the Nationals several times, traveled the country, and won many awards. We had him less than 2 years and he died a year ago from a stomach blockage. He died with less than 1 days notice. Fine one day dead the next. Had the vet out, did all we could. He started walking back wards into the ditch then fell into the barbwire tossed around, stopped, gums turned as white as a ghost, breathed really heavy, then died. We were screaming and ran to our neighbors to shoot him so he wouldn't have to suffer. But when we got back he was dead. The barb wire has been removed of course since. It was beyond every horse owners nightmare. He was the best riding horse in the world, anyone could control, but he was FAR from an old nag. He was 22. Quite a story huh?
Also, if my mom wins her Social Security in a month I am hoping to get a Warmblood hunter/jumper since Kirby won't jump more than 2 ft. Lazy bum.
