What kind of meat can chickens eat

Chickens can eat any animal protein you want to give them - including tuna. There are some who say that too much fish in the diet can lead to fishy tasting eggs, but I have not ever had that problem.

My gals eat all of the following .. in moderation:
Chicken .. yep, I know!!

Turkey
Beef
Lamb
Pork
Tuna
Sardines
Salmon

I have also never noticed any flavour in my gals eggs.

Any animal protein.
As Ol Grey Mare said, fish, can lead to flavored eggs but is an excellent source of essential amino acids. I think the threshold is about 6% of the diet.

They can and will happily eat any meat you give them. They will also eat whatever 'meat' they can catch. My flock enjoys mice, frogs, toads, and wild baby birds if they find them. You have to keep in mind that chickens are one of the closest living ancestors of Tyrannosaurus Rex. They can't live on grains alone.

Which is why I laugh and roll my eyes at the "all natural vegetarian diet" that certain commercial producers love to brag about raising their birds on................

The move to all vegetable feeds was a response to BSE like diseases such as mad cow.
Many countries banned meat and bone meal in animal feeds.

Now that the scare is over and with the realization that poultry are omnivorous and will eat anything, those bans have been lifted.
Also, vegetable protein is usually cheaper than animal protein and the missing amino acids in vegetative sources are supplemented with synthetic ones.

I am aware of the "why" - I still find the way it has been spun by some humorous
