What Kind of Pest

This morning when I went out to water and feed the chickens, I found one outside the pen with it’s head gone and not a drop of blood to be seen. Any ideas what this was?

I got my answer. It was a comodreja! A weasel! Apparently they sometimes kill and suck the blood out of a chicken and leave the rest. The chicken pen is going to need to be redesigned.

Weasel don't suck the blood from a chicken. Will it lap up blood that spills out, absolutely. They usually kill the whole flock.

I have several game cameras up around on my property and most nights I see predators when they come out here, mostly coyotes.
