It doesn't look like pox to me. My guess would be canker, but there are certainly other possibilities. This is just one thread on mouth lesions:

I had several that had wet pox that looked *just* like that and many more that had much worse cases. Each one had the pus/plaque removed and iodine applied to the sores underneath. If they weren't eatingdrinking, they were tube fed.

I also had a couple like the one in the thread listed above that didn't respond to treatment and the infection slowly ate away at their bone and soft tissue.

I'm not saying that your hen has pox, 'cause it could be canker or a bacterial infection, but in all cases you still have to remove all of the pus.

I thought of canker because I was looking at the red lesion in the first pic, and thinking the stuff in the mouth was food -- but if that is lesions or pus, I think you're right, I'd certainly consider wet pox. There are a number of threads here about both canker and wet pox. You'll just have to look at some other pics and see what you think. Just put "wet pox" or "canker" or whatever in the general search box above. You have the best view of your bird, of course! I wish you both ggod luck.

I agree that it looks like wet fowl pox or canker. If there are fowl pox lesions on the comb and wattle of this hen or the other chickens, it is probably pox. Pox is a virus, so an antibiotic such as erythromycin, amoxicillin, or Baytril would treat the secondary infections. If no other pox lesions, then treat for canker with Fishzole, metranidazol (Flagyl) 250 mg daily for 5 days. You can also get metronidazole from Petstores like Petsmart, they sell it as "API General Cure". It also has praziquantel in it, so it will take care of any tapes, too, lol. It's more expensive per dose, but you can get it right away if you need it, the others you have to buy online or get a prescription from a vet.
