What kind of predators do you have to deal with?

Right now we have, weasels, coyotes coons are the major 3 having that said. We also have had/seen lynx foxes bears cougers wild pigs.

Even living in the middle of the city in Colorado I've seen a red fox (ran it off with a broom I don't recommend that but hurray for security camera's with night vision!), a raccoon on the pine tree in the front yard that I suspect did get a hen that my husband mistakenly left out of the pen one night, feral cats (probably dogs as well but haven't seen any), and I heard a coyote the other night, which meant it was well within city limits. It's a big city.

Until I saw that fox I wasn't sure if they had them out here... I grew up seeing them in Georgia where they're fairly uncommon. Both the raccoon and the fox have forced me to make improvements to my chicken run. We covered the top with finer mesh wire, and I've been laying wire along the outside of our privacy fence and am in the brutally tiring process of burying it with 2"-4" rock. Speaking of... break time's over.

I'm in Colorado, surrounded by national forest. We have bears, mountain lions, lynx, bobcats, coyotes, weasels, mink, foxes, skunks, raccoons, hawks, owls, and the occasional Golden Eagle. Sigh.

You must be farther up in the mountains then Auntie (I sincerely hope)? I'm in the Springs, and the coyotes and dogs are the biggest things I can confirm. Did see a skunk down the road the other morning, about a mile away from my house on the way to work.

The rule is this, "If you have never seen a bobcat then you have bobcats hanging around."

Just because you don't see an animal does not mean it isn't there. There are all KINDS of animals here that I never see - because they are nocturnal and I don't see as well as they do in the dark, because they are wary and hide, because they are very well camouflaged and on and on. I never see mice in my house, but I know for a fact they are there because I catch the little so-and-sos all the time in my traps! Don't count on an animal not being in your area just because you personally have never seen one!

So far skunks, coons, and KILLER CINAMON QUEENS I hear coyotes all around But they and the foxes seem to shy around my place. I am thinking that is thanks to dogs and the Yak's I have. Actually saw the main herd of adults use their horns and hooves to cave in a fox den and then they "packed it" very well.

North Central Iowa. We have raccoons, oppossums, lesser weasels, mink, coyotes, fox (generally not both at one time - it fluctuates), and right now hawks are beginning their migration. Forgot skunks.

I'm most concerned with hawks so no free ranging for awhile. Oh, and my neighbors stupid dog, but that's another story.

Geez, I'm glad I don't have to deal with bear or bigger cats. Occasionally one or two will stumble into Iowa from Minnesota but some idiot is sure to kill it immediately. (Can you tell I don't have to worry about those?)

To save time and effort guys in the USA need to mention the predators they DON'T have.
Tigers I guess
