What kind of protein/oil supplements work well for pullets?

Mine love flax seed- I toss a small handful in with the kitchen scraps and they pick them all out- they also get worms from the worm bins and whatever they can find in the ground- and cuttings from the vegie garden- they'll eat everything- oh- they especially love yogurt!

Mine LOVE cottage cheese, yogurt, BOSS, etc...

but oh that cottage cheese is a HUGE hit I tell you lol and scrambled eggs? good lord get out of the way when they see you with it lol Chicken stampede!!

Thank you all for the wonderful suggestions. Sounds like I'm not the only one who likes to spoil my birds.

Oil is used in feed mixes to add FAT not protein.
Unless you want lots of fat on your birds or the health problems that go along with a large amount of body fat, oil is the last thing to add to a chickens diet!

Right now with the large amount of critters my free range chickens are getting scratch as a supplement. As winter comes I will add some commercial layer feed to their diets.

hmm, since i live in poor country, i can't feed them anything better than cracked corn + little amount of rice + cheap stinky fish(2kg=$1).

i'm going to try give them palm oil since this country is one of 3 biggest palm oil exporter.

To be honest this sounds like an overall OK diet for them.
Maybe offer some oyster or other shells to up the calcium content. Corn is very low in calcium.
