What kind of rabbits do I have?

I assumed they were fixed.

Oh and I read online that sometimes the mother will eat her babies. Is this rare or common? Should I be worried? Is there anything that I should do to prevent this?

the moms usually only eat their babies if they are in danger or something frightens them. none of mine have eaten theirs......yet. let us know how it goes. if she is pulling fur it should be any time. after she has them give her a piece of apple so you can check her nest for dead ones. and remember they only feed them once or twice a day so don't panic if you never see her in there. just check for full bellies a couple times a day if you are worried.

Good luck with your baby bunny adventure. My neighbour has about 15 kittens from 2 does. I have no idea what he is going to do with them all. Some of them might be chicldren to my rabbit who is now hy neighbours.

Rabbits are pretty care free when it comes to breeding. They definitely live up to the old saying!

Just leave her alone until she gives birth and then you can start holding the babies as much as you want after a couple of days. The more you hold them, the friendlier they become. Do you know how old she is? Is she relatively friendly?

You don't have to spay and neuter the rabbits if they are being kept separate. I've never had a problem with them being smelly or nasty, though some will argue that it prevents certain diseases and ailments. It's really up to you, but I've never felt it necessary as long as the buns are kept in separate cages!

Good luck with your rabbits! They look like mixes to me, but sometimes those are the best kinds!

OK, cool thanks. Violet, the girl, is nice but a little skid-ish. Turtle, the boy, is super friendly though, even more than Violet. I don't know how old she is (or the boy). I think they are young though, but I really have no idea...

Thanks to every one else too!

Maybe it was a false pregnancy?

My rabbit built a huge burrow, but she filled it in after a few days. My sister said she looks skinnier now, but I don't think she's that much skinnier than she was. Do you think she could have filled in the burrow on her babies?
