What kind of Roo to get?

I am looking for a new rooster, something killed mine. I am wanting something bigger but friendly and docile because I have young kids. I have two hens that are mutts and kinda bullies. I am wanting to raise him from a chick and maybe two hens . I want the breed to have personality and looks. The hens can be a different breed than the rooster but I want a high egg production. Any breed suggestions???? I live in OK, zone 7 we get into the 100s during the summer and single digit wind chills a lot of days in the winter.

I was going to say Brahma, Cochin, or Jersey Gaint for a roo but seeing they perfer cooler weather than warm.. Why not try a Turken? They love any kind of weather and are friendly.
