What kind of rooster is this

My mom got a rooster but we're not sure what kind.

My first though was australorp because of the color but the roosters dont have that sort of comb as far as i've seen...

My guess is mixed or some sort of short combed breed.

What exactly makes you say australorp?

His coloring and black beady eyes but I see now that he doesn't have the regular comb that a pure bred australorp would have. I think he has some australorp in him.
