What kind of shoes do you wear out to the chickens?

Rubber boots. They stay on the patio right outside the back door. I do not wear them in the house. I put them on when I step out.

I have a pair of crocs. they're not the regular kind, they're like flats and don't have any holes in them. they're great because I can wash them off and they don't get wet or have to dry

I use just normall everyday sneakers and when it's muddy i'v got some rubber boots which I keep under some buckets out by the coop!

I had a pair of $10 Wal-mart boots that worked JUST FINE, except they were slippery in the rain/snow from the lack of good treading on the bottom.

So...DH got me nice REAL boots with treads.

This thread reminded me to buy a boot cleaner for outside the coop, thanks!

And, I step inside my door onto a plastic boot tray, pop them off, and slide right into my slippers. No mess that way.

I've looked all over for those and when I finally found them, they were more than I'd ever pay LOL. So I guess I'm stuck wearing my wore-out slipon tennis shoes till I can find something my cheap self will use.

Worn-out, slip-on running shoes. Definitely.

Three sets of running shoes here: 1) Exercising 2) General use 3) Farm, painting etc. When I get new shoes, the old pairs move down a level.

The old farm shoes would make an interesting science experiment!

they cost alot but i think well worth it . mucks get a little to warm the summer so i'll revert to poo shoe 1 (poo tennies)

one thing do not take your boots to any other chicken yard then your own you might carry something back that will harm your flock on the bottom of your sole
what ever make you comfotrable is the best choice
