What kind of shoes do you wear out to the chickens?

I just got my first pair of Crocs. So far so good. Easy to clean up!

I wear high and low muck boots

I am in Mass, and it has been warm, odd, last winter we had storm after storm even before Thanksgiving

I or we always wear our muck boots when around the chickens.

It is so muddy due to lack of cold weather.

I struggle with this. I used to use my adidas flip flops, but on Labor Day, I went out in the morning to let them out of the coop, in the rain, and the wooden steps were crazy slippery and ended up in the ER with a horrible hematoma on my rump that still hasn't gone completely away! I'm now wearing my hiking boots out there, but the bottoms have deep grooves and the poop kind of collects in there, which is fine in the summer but in the winter, when it's freezing, the outside hose is shut off and I can't spray off. I need something without deep grooves, but with a really good skid proof covering. Like a closed pair of crocks. Guess I could glue some sand paper on the bottom

Slide-on muck boots that don't come past our mud room. Thin ones for summer and DH bought me some 1000 gram warm ones for CHRISTmas. and yes, I change back and forth all day! Not that bad though since I mostly wear clogs. slide in slide out slide in slide out!

I'm on the lookout for some clogs to replace my 10 year old ones I use most often. My problem is I'm cheap lol. I refuse to pay $50-$75 for a pair of clogs to wear in chicken manure. And I just hate Crocs they have holes all in the sides that let all the dirt in.

I wear my worn out pair of Merrells jungle mocs, I always have two pair, the new pair for work then my 'worn out' pair for quick in and out chicken duties. Merrells are easy to clean, good traction, easy slip off and on so I just leave them at door to keep the 'debris' outside. Very comfy. For bigger jobs like coop cleaning or if it's raining I use knee high muck boots.

Just my steel toes when I get home at night or my old adidas sneakers on the weekend. With winter coming I may be wearing the steel toes more often.
