What kind of shoes do you wear out to the chickens?

I live in Crocs due to plantar fasciitis and tendon issues. I have a pair of green ones I usually wear out in the chicken yard and garden and I change into my "house ones". They are easy to clean and sterilize. I also wear a white doctor's coat over my clothes and keep that in the garage. I have a bathroom with a shower in my garage so it's easy to clean up if I have too.

I wear some "cheep" flip flops that I used to use to take showers in at the gym. They have flowers on the thong part that my buff orpington, Glenda, always tries to taste.

My very most favorite, 5 year old leather flip-flops from Old Navy. Paid $20 which seemed insane at the time, but I would do it again in a heart beat. Not only do I wear them to the chickens, I wear them everywhere, no matter the season or weather.

I have a pair of boots I keep near the back door. These are slip-on boots- no snaps or fasteners. When it is time to visit the chicken house, I slip on the boots. Any chicken manure stays in the boot pattern. If I wish, I can clean the boots. I keep a box of disposable shoe-covers for guests. However, in the spirit of biosecurity I discourage vistors in the chicken house.

I wear ancient, decrepit Birkenstock sandals if it's dry out, and a pair of equally ancient and decrepit New Balance sneakers if it's wet or muddy. I also have waterproof hikers for the snow, as I detest most snow boots and have monster feet in any case. None of these usually make it farther than the garage, laundry room, or back junk room/porch, as it's Shavings City otherwise.

I'm actually more concerned about tracking dog poop in than chicken poop, as one of my dogs appears to think that the path to the coop is the perfect place to go.

I like to go barefoot. As a kid we didn't have shoes LOL. maybe we did but never wore shoes. My feet were like leather. I think its gotten hotter or I'm getting softer. In the summer here the grounds way to hot to not wear shoes. The chickens don't even like walking on the hot ground.
