What kind of shoes do you wear out to the chickens?

...Whatever pair of shoes that happens to be closest when I decide to go to the chicken yard...is just fine. Chickens dont care...one way or other.

For warm weather - the cheapest pair of deck shoes I can find, usually about $20 or less with a smooth sole that collects nothing.

For cold weather - rubber insulated knee highs with a smooth sole.

I have an old pair of clogs that I wear year 'round. They sit outside my door on the porch and I fear for the day that I look down at my feet in church and see that I have put my coop shoes on by mistake!

I'm another one who just wears the cheap black "rubber" garden clogs over my bare feet... Gets a bit chilly here in January or February, so I'll wear a worn out pair of duck-boots then. NONE of them come back in the house; they get hosed off and I change into something else once I get to the garage!

LL Bean 'duck boots'. I love them. My kids all wear rubber rain boots (cheap at Walmart) for their chicken shoes. We have a mudroom where the boots stay; they never come in the house.
We like to use boots because it can get pretty deep out there! Nothing is worse than getting something squishy between your flip flop and your foot, and the chickens have a penchant for toe nail polish, so we never wear flip flops in the chicken yard.
