What kind of shoes do you wear out to the chickens?

rubber Croc's (washable) in the summer and when it is dry......rubber Muck boots when it is wet or in the winter snow (also washable)
I know these doesn't pertain to the shoe part...

...but I also have a separate jacket for when it's chilly or cold that and it is only wore
to the coop and kept on the back porch.

I wear my tall rain boots! I am a fashion statement in the summer with my shorts and boots lol!!!! All my kids have them and we have an extra pair or 2 for visitors. They keep my feet dry when i change the water and noone pecks my toes lol... When it gets really cold i have a pair of winter boots hubby bought me for the coop but they are tie and i need to find some slip ons. We keep all of them in the garage in a laundry bin.

I have a pair of cheap garden clogs that I got at Big Lots last year. I can slip them on and off pretty quickly at the back door. I love them and they have served me well. However, they have begun to split up the the back and fear they must be retired. I want to get a pair of warm, waterproof slip ons with a little bit of a tread for the wet muddy winter

I wear either heavy black knee high rain boots for winter and clogs for summer. Easy to slip both on and are washable. I keep them on the back porch, never any further. I also have a spare pair of clogs for anyone who wants to visit the chickens

Plastic garden clogs for the chickens, muck boots for the horses. I don't wear the clogs in the corral and I don't wear the muck boots in the coop. Both sets stay on the porch and do not enter the house. I'm just neurotic that way

For the winter, I have an old pair of tennis shoes that my DH used to wear all the time. They're so beat up that the heel is smooshed flat, and they are more like slip-ons. They're huge on me, but I don't mind. We just leave them by the door instead of bringing them inside.

For the summer, I was raised a farm-girl, so I barefoot most of my time in my backyard. The only time I don't is when mucking out the chicken coop. Then it's back to the old shoes. I go barefoot so much when I'm outside that my chickens arn't phased by toes at all. But watch-out if you have socks on!

I wear an ancient pair of Nike's during the summer, and then a pair of what I call rubber muck boots for the winter. Keeps my feet nice and dry. The were just $9.99 at TSC. Not beautiful, but they do an excellent job.

A bald pair of Croc mary janes. The worn-out soles keep garbage from collecting in the impossible-to-clean parts and just dragging my feet through the grass gets them clean enough to come in the house. I do leave them by the door on a mat. I've been looking for something with less holes, though, because sometimes a pile of poo does wrap around the edge of the Croc and meet up with my foot.

I just haven't found anything without treads yet.

Everyone in the house has their own pair of old shoes officially designated as "chicken shoes" that are kept on the mat by the back door.

(At one point we had a silkie roo that had a foot fetish. He tried really hard to make little shoe babies every time we came out of the house.)
