I do the same, only with one pair. I keep a boot tray on the back screened porch by the door, take off whatever shoes I'm wearing and wear the crocs out to the chickens. They're easy to slip on and off and are washable.

I had to laugh ready these! This has become such a hassle for me. First off, I bought a pair of ankle highs at TSC for the coop. However, they are hard to take on and off. I often think that "I'm just going out there for a sec-won't really go in" and come back with whatever shoes I have on-a total mess! And I whatever Im wearing, I scrap off etc and still drag in nasty pine shavings to the door rug! Argh! Now with snow, it's going ot become even more of a hassle-snow and nasty pine shavings. I am thinking the knee highs in a larger size may slip on easier. I love going out throughout the day on the weekends Im home so it would be nice not to spend 10 mins just getting my shoes on.
muck boots get the job done year round and keep my feet toasty warm even in the snow..and they are the most comftorable boot i have ever worn...muck wetland boots..
