Might want to watch out and keep the gun by your bed just in case its not an animal. I've heard a few storys of people going outside to make shure their animals wern't getting attacked when they heard screaming, Thought it was just a cat or somthing but it turns out it was a muderor a rape going on. Just warning you not trying to creep you out

Man that is scary. Be careful. I was thinking large cat, panther or the such. Coyotes around here sound like someone screaming and got to me a time or two thinking it was someone in trouble. Could be a Yeti, hehe. Good luck.

The sound you described was a cougar or as some like to call it mountain lion. Be very careful. If you were close enough to hear it in the bushes you were close enough to be a meal. That is why they are called the grey ghost cause ya rarely see them. Be alert because it may be watching you anytime you aere out.
