What kind of winter do you think we'll have, and the signs of it?

I better get that wood stove and stock up on wood now!

My back yard is almost completely covered with a layer of leaves. I think I will store them to burn them too.

Well we had over 10 feet of snow last winter! I really dont want to see that again but all the catapilers seem to be awfuly fuzzy and the trees started turning in August...I'd rather have snow than 40 below...Pam

Northern California has had an uncharacteristically cool summer. Actually, we've been see-sawing, with a few days of heat, then back to below normal. And now the squirrels are frantically grabbing all the nuts and not just burying them, but eating as if there is no tomorrow. I have never seen such a feeding frenzy. And why am I already seeing migratory waterfowl?

I think it's going to be a bad winter.
