Agreed. Californian quails are probably the most used by humans but Gambel‘s and other species like mountain quail have the plume on their heads. I wish new world Quail were as easy to keep as cots. I want some with plumes haha. I also want mearns (sp?) really bad, if they didn’t cost so much I would sneak a couple in with my cots and see how they do.I admit those mountain quail and scaled quail are so tempting !
