What kind os Marans is this?

I *think* that's the facial pattern my barnevelders showed as new chcks.....

Ask the breeder what other breeds they keep besides Marans!

Yes, they do favour the brown chick down gene (eb). It also has dorsal stripes usual for presence of pattern gene (Pg) which is present in Barnevelders.

At the bottom of this page there are Barnevelder chicks.

It's a $$$$$$$ coloured Marans, any colour Marans is $$$$$$ in some peoples eyes. It is a Brown eb based chick, an 'e' series allele that does not appear in any recognised Marans variety,
