There doesn't appear to be much comings or goings going on around that hole because of all the trash covering the entrance but holes that size can house or harbor anything from mice, to 17 year locus, to crawdads, to garter snakes, to sand hornets, the list is only limited by the imagination.

My cats have been enjoying digging in them. This was day two! Maybe whatever lives there got tired of the company. We did have a HUGE wave of the 17 year locusts. Our yard looked like Swiss cheese and it was SO loud.
