I purchased some brown eggs from a local auction. They were sold as Black Australops and all were the correct color when hatched. However, recently I noticed that a few of them appear to have rose combs instead of single combs. What could they be?

Hard to say.
Could be anything from a Black Wyandotte to a cross.
What color are the legs and the bottom of the feet?

They are supposed to be Standards and the eggs were normal size. I have other BA that I hatched from eggs and are now grown so I know the colors of the chick was right. They have dark legs too. It's dark outside right now but I think they might have had lighter colored toes. I'll have to double check in the morning and post a picture too.

Well, what do you think? This one doesn't show any comb at all. Wyandotte?
