I know that strawberry rhubarb pie is a thing but I've never had it. I tried rhubarb once and it was so sour! I'm not sure if I would like a pie that was that tart.

It needed a little more sugar.

I love rhubarb pie, but we can't grow rhubarb here, and if I could find the preprocessed stuff locally I doubt it would taste the same.

If it was too sour, they didn't put enough sugar in it. Adding strawberries and following standard directions makes a really sour pie.

Good rhubarb is tart. Tart and sour are not the same thing. A rhubarb pie made properly is both sweet and tart.

I tried an actual rhubarb stalk that someone gave me. I'd never tasted it before.
