What made you happy today?

I helped my neighbor clean out her raised beds. Also printed something for her when her printer died.

This is my Neighbor Who Had a Heart Attack. I can't fix her health. I surely can't pay her medical bills. So any little thing that is in my power to do for her makes me happy.

I read this somewhere: "To ask a favor is to do a favor." Now I know what it means.

DH and I walked the circuit around our house twice (one-tenth of a mile each lap) and when we came to the open gap where the driveway leaves the property and goes up the road, our Sheltie, Sammy, (juvenile delinquent) DID NOT go running up the road, either time! This is me, doing handsprings inside! I have been using an e-collar to dissuade him from doing this but today for the first time I did not have to use it on him. He just stayed politely on the property like a Very Good Boy!
I may let him live.

Receptionist reading from a list: any allergies, past reactions, pregnant or plans -------- "Umm, you have to have sex for that, right?" She cracked up as did the entire waiting room.

Bf sent me a Ka-bar for my birthday! I got too impatient to wait 4 more days to open it so I did it as soon as I got up this morning. It's a nice knife! Knice!

Few things
1. I was blessed to overhear 2 women at goodwill talking about how it's a great time to be alive and how grateful they are to be alive. Given how negative many people are nowadays, hearing someone say that was a breath of fresh air. Sure, life isn't easy, but it is still beautiful and we have much to be thankful for and I am happy to be alive too and am choosing to be optimistic for the future
2. I found a brand new, 10 year battery life smoke detector for 3 bucks and a cute pumpkin shaped chalk board
3. I finally invested in a shelf for my tea so I can get all my tea off the kitchen table lol
4. I ordered some more pu'erh tea that should be here tomorrow
