What made you happy today?

Few things
1. I was blessed to overhear 2 women at goodwill talking about how it's a great time to be alive and how grateful they are to be alive. Given how negative many people are nowadays, hearing someone say that was a breath of fresh air. Sure, life isn't easy, but it is still beautiful and we have much to be thankful for and I am happy to be alive too and am choosing to be optimistic for the future
2. I found a brand new, 10 year battery life smoke detector for 3 bucks and a cute pumpkin shaped chalk board
3. I finally invested in a shelf for my tea so I can get all my tea off the kitchen table lol
4. I ordered some more pu'erh tea that should be here tomorrow
Where do you get your tea? I'm a bit of a tea snob, especially about my green teas (including pu'erh and oolong).

I get mine from Red Blossom.

Coming home from Poplar Bluff, delighted to see the trees finally donning their fall colors. I don't know the names of the trees, but I saw beautiful cranberry red, topaz, goldenrod, burgundy, pumpkin orange and myriad shades between, gorgeous nestled among the deep, dark green, almost black of the white pine forest. The sky is a brilliant sapphire blue, the air is crystal pure and it is a magnificent day to be alive!

Sounds beautiful! I love seeing the trees change, they were late this year but still very pretty. Maple trees can change the prettiest colors

I got my garlic planted. Turns out I had saved more cloves than I thought; 80, not 60, from this summer's harvest.

I also bought another variety to try, Metechi. 3 bulbs gave me 27 cloves! And not small cloves, either. Some were pretty big, some were average-ish (small compared to my Music garlic), and there were a couple huge ones. This variety is supposed to be pretty fiery when raw, but more manageable when cooked. I wanted one that had more ooomph when cooked, so I'll see what I get next July.
