What made you happy today?

I got 67 pots filled with potting soil. They're sitting in the green house, warming up.

The 5# of "raw" cashews I ordered arrived. They need to be roasted in the oven for about 15 minutes at 300°F to taste decent. I roast all nuts, pecans, walnuts, or whatever, to enhance their flavor, before eating or using in recipes.

Finally found some chicks from Tractor Supply after a month of hunting from different sources, the earliest I can get them from others are July or August.

I caught the feeders running low just in time. When I looked yesterday I noticed they were low so I went ahead and expedited my autoship, when I went out to refill them today, they were empty. Good thing my shipment wasn't delayed like it was last time (due to the winter storm) or else I would have had to figure something out. Looks like I'll have to readjust my autoship frequency though

Have sweet rolls in the oven and a leek & potato soup on the stove. Happy bc I have not been able to cook in almost a month. Very satisfying even though I forgot to put the cinnamon in the rolls!

Hubby raked the front yard, and I got 4 big piles of leaves to haul down to the garden.

I was lucky enough to be able to order our bantam flock for next week, then had a nova lox bagel for dinner (with ALL the fixings).

I made this (and ate four of them, lol):

I put way too much butter and brown sugar in them and totally forgot the cinnamon, didn't have any pecans, but ... these were hands down the BEST cinnamon, uh, sweet rolls I have ever made or eaten in my life.

Yesterday was a very productive day, and that made me happy.
