Made a batch of peanut butter cookies - definitely satisfies the sweet craving.

It's a cold (well, not really but cooler than it has been), wet, windy day and it'll be raining off and on all day

It has finally cooled down enough to cook at night. Turned on the oven for the first time in months! I made pumpkin bread, chocolate chip cookie bars, and a cottage pie. It's so nice to have the house full of good food cooking smells.

Finally got around to making bean soup and it already smells and tastes amazing

Before anyone asks for a recipe, it's just prepackaged 15 bean soup from the store but I am cooking in chicken stock and 2 smoked ham hocks and I plan on mixing in some cubed ham at the end

It rained! For like three minutes. That's a long time in the desert. I'll take it!

Pulled most of my garden, which always bums me out, but I let the chickens roam the garden after and that made me happy

Caught moon beams and saw some stars for the first morning in three days due to dense cloud cover and no sun. Bright sunny day, cloudless sky, dry air and awoke to a temp of 62!!! First "Autumn" like day. What a gift.
