The vet came and removed Maggie Mae's stitches.

To make me happy today I think I just need to sit down and just crochet while everyone leaves me alone for the night because I'm hangry and I just got back from working doubles

My son stopped while walking at a park today to mess with a bug. I absent-mindedly told him to leave it alone and let's keep going. He said "no no mom" (he's 3) and carefully turned over a cicada that was struggling on its back then happily scampered off.

Today my hen has been doing better (she got flystrike). Great thanks to Wyorp Rock for helping.

Yesterday I went to stay with a friend who got out of the hospital on Monday after a bad kidney infection. He was sitting out on their patio when I got there. He's still on antibiotics, very low energy, but he looks sooo much better. We watched some movies, chatted a lot, and his wife got to go back to work and not worry about him being home alone.

He has a long recovery ahead, but it made me happy to help him on his way, what little I could do. And, I got to pet their dog. (Our dog passed this last June.)
