I've seen movies, but is there a fire hot enough? Since I have chickens, I have no choice but to brave the 28-30 tomorrow morning. At which point, I think it will be time to start drinking.

Easy for you to say. That is 20 degrees below 50. I compensated for it by taking a hot shower while my clothes warmed up in the dryer.

Yesterday we blew a fuse and the almost-new washer quit working. Googled a bunch of different advice but no luck, resigned ourselves to hiring a technician.

Today the washer decided to start working again! Just needed a day's unplugged rest, I guess.

Also, our baby rooster Charles started trying to crow. So cute!
