No. The blooms smell like ripe bananas. Banana trees can be grown in my area, but rare to get fruit.

The sun shining, warming the ground and the life around it. Felt good going out in a long sleeve T-shirt. Blooms appearing everywhere, birds chirping. The first day of the new year that had Spring's warmth to it. A warmth that can bring a smile to the most grumpy of faces

So far this morning, I saw a pileated woodpecker hopping up a tree and I managed to record a video of it. Only birders will understand the happiness of seeing a pileated woodpecker.

Pileated woodpeckers are one of my favorite! We have them in Ohio and I never get tired of seeing them
