What made you happy today?

Ah, the Costco Phenomenon.

My Mom runs into people we know there as well.

This is the first time I've ever seen someone I know there.

Not today, but while on vacation...we were visiting with our daughter and family last week, had a wonderful time with our grandchildren. When they had to leave to go home our daughter hugged her father and said "I love you". I can't recall her saying that to him in the last 30 years. It made me very VERY happy.

Church. We have a new pastor. His wife is an extremely accomplished pianist from Belarus and they both sing. He is a preacher worth listening to, as well. We were very blessed today.

This….our first egg from our new flock. Isa Brown pullet laid it. It is a surprise since the Isa Browns are our oldest ladies but they are 2 weeks shy of 4 months.

NOT finding a lot of Japanese Beetles when I went out hunting them. I'm hoping I'm hunting them to extinction!

Sorry, chickens, it was a paltry chickie snack. I made up for it with some really nice meaty snack.
