What made you happy today?

Today was my first day back at school and I got SO many high fives, fist bumps and hugs that I lost count. Middle schoolers may be bit crazy, but dang, it feels good to be back!

I stayed up late into the night playing Silksong. My brother-in-law is playing as well, so we were texting back and forth about all our struggles and triumphs. We have a unique relationship. He's 20 years younger than my husband and I. In fact, we started dating shortly after he was born. He's like a true younger brother to me. I don't get to see/talk to him as much now that he's grown, so I'm treasuring this time.

It was on the news this week that a man working in a Jean making shop 36 years, never take a day off work. He works 6 days a week and on Sunday work also in the workshop, he says that he loves his job so much. He own his jean shop and give out alternation for free.

I am thinking....I will find way to joyfully tending to my chickens, it has been lack of joy and more of pain lately.

Today, I will be happy to find joy in little things about my feathery kids....of course I must get in the car and drive out to get that Mcdonald Cheese burger meal that I have been dreaming of

Really need this thread today. Let's see...

- It's so cold this morning that I actually turned on the heat. Fall is here in NH!
- I'm going to celebrate by ordering some fall goodies from my favorite Vermont store.
- I have the house to myself for the day, which means I can talk to myself out loud without repercussion.
