I felt well enough to cook today.
I made steamed broccoli, oven-roasted butternut squash, and a boxed broccoli rice dish. Everybody ate EVERTHING, there were no leftovers. The squash was especially delicious as it was partially caramelized.
Will def be making that again!

Had my semi-annual dental appointment, and all is well with my teeth.

This also made me happy: went out after everybody roosted and took inventory of my black birds. I seem to have 10 Ameraucanas, 4 of whom appear to be cockerels. I had ordered 6 pullets, ONE cockerel but I'm not mad, now I can pick the best one to keep. I know I have 3 Australorp cockerels, they're going to be processed Thursday. That means I have 5 Aussie girls. Perfect. Clap clap!

Was greeted by Lana Skye when I came home. I haven't seen her in a while and was wondering about her. Lana is one of the ferals I feed and the mother of one of my cats Phoenix. She's gotten to be pretty friendly towards me and is a fabulous ratter and an amazing mother. Definitely one of my favorite cats who drop by
