What made you happy today?

I went for a bike ride. Found a super old LG phone. It's probably at least 10 years old, pretty smashed, but still phone shaped. No battery. I took it home to give it what is probably its first Christmas in years.

It had to have been there for a long while. No way was it lost recently.
I went for a bike ride this afternoon, too. I love Christmas bike rides. I like riding around and seeing kids out in front of their houses trying out their new presents: bikes, scooters, etc. (they can do that when it's 79° outside)!

Me too. There were a couple of children trying out a hoverboard and some go kart thingy.

I passed by someone's Christmas party a coupled days ago. I could smell it too.

Sunset rides are my favorite. It's so pretty when you see the leaves getting lit up by the sun.

I've heard you should get lots of sun during winter. Supposedly the short days mean less sun which means your mood can be bad.
Yes, absolutely. Seasonal Affect Disorder, SAD. Appropriate abbreviation.

Something to do with the daylight hitting the pineal gland in the brain... maybe... IIRC? It needs to be the correct wavelengths of light too. Daylight does it, but most interior light bulbs don't.

Whenever we have sunny days, I try to spend as much time outside as I can this time of year, weather and temperature permitting.

I like cloudy days. Cloudy sunsets are some of my favorite.

Hosted a little Christmas dinner yesterday and my guest brought me an amazing flabbergasting little present, individually.
My son gave me a tea towel with chickens, and my sister-in-law gave me a kitchen towel with chickens. Different, but with the same chickens. They go perfectly together.
