Found my winter boots that I have been looking for. I've been using my hiking boots but the winter ones are more water proof

I'm sorry about Mint.

A course of amoxycillian helped one of my girls live for another year after she laid a lash egg. But it may depend on how bad it is.

She was on 3 lots of different antibiotic at 3 separate times for 10 days each. She is too far down the infection so antibiotic is no longer effective.

I'm sorry Mint is struggling so much - and you as well. It's ok to feel despondent over your sick baby. Allow yourself to feel the emotions and then let it go, easier said than done. All things are as they ought be (sometimes hard to accept) and enjoy and love on her as much as you can.

I don't have medical advice to offer, just moral support. I know it hurts. Try to find something, anything good and be grateful for that - such as - you have the ability to care and love her.

May I suggest playing classical music on your phone for her? I've read somewhere where this is a favorite of chickens vs. country, rock, etc. I've done this for my girls when they are agitated by being locked in the run and it actually does calm them down. Some people don't like classical music so this may not work for you personally, but it might help Mint.

...I am thinking about all the good things like the blue sky, I am cooking what I want to eat, have my chickens for better for worse..that are good things enough to make me happy today.
