What made you happy today?

I had to look those up - very cool!

I LOVE these! The young greens are mild, like spring onions. The mature ones are stronger, almost like a regular onion, and you can use the bulb tips, as well. They're also a LOT of fun to grow!

I would worry about other's dogs and possible biosecurity issues, but I did once see a little girl bring a silkie with her to tractor supply. Staff didn't seem to care
When DS worked at a local hardware store, his boss didn't believe that he had "furry chickens," so I took in my Silkie cockerel. He had his head tucked up, so everyone swore he was a rabbit ... until DS took him and he crowed! I wish we'd had a camera going. It was priceless! It's been five or six years, now. DS no longer works there, but every time we go in, the manager asks about the "noisy rabbits!"

You know how odors can bring back memories? I opened a container of disinfectant wipes and the fragrance was identical to the one in the sunscreen my mom made me use when we went to amusement parks. Suddenly I was 12 years old at Magic Mountain (now Six Flags Magic Mountain, although you might know it as Walley World from National Lampoon's Vacation movie, 1983). It was so nice to experience that again for a few moments. Happy memories.
