What makes you happy?

What no one says work makes them happy????

Work makes me happy.

But so does cooking, riding and fishing. Photography, reading....just about everything I do makes me happy.

This thread makes me smile!
Here's some of mine...
Completely 100% healthy kids.
Kisses from my 3 year old.
When my kids say 'I love you mamma'
Teaching my kids home school and watching they're faces light up when they finally understand a concept. Listening to them read! Yeah! Success!
Looking at DH... He's still gorgeous after almost 9 years of marriage.
Going for drives with my family... In the duramax of course!
Buying ice cream for my kids because it makes them sooooo excited.
Yard saleing whoo hooo I love yard saleing!
Talking about or playing with my chickens!
Being debt free someday...sigh...
But best of all: when the healthy kids are sleeping peacefully in there beds, the chickens are happy in there coop, and the cow is in the barn, and the house is clean, and I can go to bed and watch some old movie with my man and feel like for maybe a little while I won't be needed for anything...

Right now I have a new definition of happy. I went walking the trails with my 4 month old on my shoulder and he's at that wobbly floppy baby stage who's just starting to articulate. blargyyyysnnnnnnnnaaaaaaaaaaaffffffff

So I stopped. He's waving his chubby arms around and it took me a minute to figure out he was trying to catch sunbeams filtering through the foliage. That is happy.

Being alone with nature. My chickens talking to me. Laughing really hard with someone until tears stream down my face. Writing. Sifting leaves out of my koi pond. Having a man I care about touch my hair. My kitty sleeping with his chin on my chest at night. Making other people happy. Getting flowers. Talking to the chipmunks on my wood pile. Scratching various farm animals behind the ear. Wearing long hippy skirts. Meditating.

You have a wonderful theory on life. I feel the same way, enough food to last at least 2 weeks . . .(a chef to prepare it would be nice, but I can handle it!

Most of all I am thankful for my 10 year old gs we adopted. He is the shining star in my life. Makes me happy to be able to get up every morning to see that sweet smiling face.

Being able to grow and raise a lot of my own food.
Standing outside of my house and looking up at the starry night.
