What mix is my bantam?

Could you get me a picture of her whole leg and foot? Make sure the wing isn’t in the way?

She has feathering on her middle toe, more feather footed x none feather footed crosses won’t have feathering on the middle toe

Hi Alexandra she might be a Pekin x EE her foot feathering looks a lot like a pekins while her plumage colour and egg colour are like an EE
That's kind of what I was thinking, actually. :) Guess we won't know for sure until she lays!

I have seen ALOT of millie fleur D'uccles, and I would bet she is one, at the very least a mix of one!
Funny you should mention, at first glance in the bin, I thought she was a MF d'Uccle. The breed doesn't have eye/back stripes, though. :) A mix is definitely possible, though, which would make her a Sage Gem.

I sincerely apologize for the quality of this picture, as it was quite late and little Sassy refused to cooperate. ;) If you need a better shot, just give me a holler. :)

Her feet look very green in that picture! But they also appear to be too heavily feathered for a cross breed, imo, unless she is crossed by two feather footed parents.
My mille fluer bantam leghorn do t have nearly as much feathering as she does!

This is a good page that a breeder of duccles made. Something I refer back to when accessing chicks of mine!

I understand what you mean about two feathered-footed parents vs. only one.

Thanks for the link! :D Highly informative! Question: is the standard for d'Uccles any different in Australia? I've never seen any MFs who were so heavily striped, including my own 4 and those filling bantam bins. As far as down color, they've all been grizzled gray with orange heads, often varying in shade.

the gray with orange heads is the only color I have seen purebred millie fluer D'uccles be too:confused:
