What mix is she and is she really a he? PICTURES

Most all my laying hens have large combs and wattles, some so big they flop over. She looks like a hen to me also. She has no saddle or pointy hankle feathers, maybe just a poor layer.

As you already know, she is a hen. (Roosters do not lay eggs.) Body type and conformation says leghorn cross. Very attractive pullet. Maybe an andalusian/leghorn cross.

She probably has some White Leghorn in her. They're combs are HUGE.

Hmmm if I only could figure what she is... I tried doing research on it but I haven't found anything. Any gamefowl in there?

Ohh... I looked up pics of an andulusian, she looks like that! Just with golden neck feathers. Hmm maybe the person who owned the parents had a random mix of chickens.

I really think she's Blue Andalusian x Brown Leghorn. GORGEOUS. I've had both of those breeds and that's what she remided me of immediately. She looks alot like my brown leghorn/New Hampshire cross, but with blue instead.

When/If I get andalusians again I will likely try this cross, now!

Guessing that maybe some kind of Leghorn cross. I'd just call her pretty and wished I had about 20 more like her. Is she laying yet?
