What model # is this GQF Sportsman incubator?

Better too low than too high on a sportsman imho.

Mine is set at 98.5 and still I have hatches a day early at times.

Looks like an early 1502 to me too. Was part of a set with seperate hatcher I think.

Mine is just like it, except I raised the two lower turners up one hole and added a hatching tray at the bottom.

Thanks for the input.. I have read some of your post on the OT's thread. Do you think it would be ok to put a plastic tub in the bottom as a hatching tray.. I'm afraid the chicks might fall from the upper tray during hatching.

Yes, that would work. I used a rubbermaid tote as a tray in mine until I found the regular hatching tray. I just cut the tote down to about 2" tall and placed it in the bottom.

I glad you posted this! I picked up one just like it the other day at a yard sale... for the unbelievably low price of $15, but didn't know the model #... only difference between mine and yours is that my trays were set up for EMU eggs ..

I took out the EMU egg dividers and removed the bottom turner rack to make room for a hatching drawer in the bottom. although I plan to add the 3rd turner rack back in, but I want to adjust the other 2 so that I can have all 3 and still have room for a hatcher, but I haven't figured that part out just yet.

I've got a couple dozen eggs in mine right now, with the 1st group scheduled to hatch on the 31st. & So far I'm loving mine! like someone mention above, it holds rock solid temps !!!
