I love it! From Halloween to Christmas are the best times of the year!Confession time: I usually only use two mugs - occasionally a couple different ones if both those mugs are in the wash. I've been drinking out of mugs I normally don't use all for the sake of this thread!
Today I'm actually using one of my usual mugs. There's nothing special about it; it's one of those mass market mugs that I've seen at Target and various farm stores. But it's the perfect size! It holds more than a regular cup of coffee, but not so much I get the jitters and feel like I'm starving to death for the rest of the day (coffee has weird side effects for me).

I received this mug during a Christmas white elephant gift exchange, and I was on pins and needles lest someone steal it . . . which they did, but luckily my husband stole it back when it came to his turn because he could tell I liked it. Now that's teamwork!

Don't pay attention to the mug. The mug is a liar.
Yeah, I made it! Too heavy to drink out of it, but maybe I will make a similar mug.Wowowow! You made that?!?! If I made something that cool, I'd be drinking out if it.![]()

This is my other daily use mug, mostly because of its large capacity.

There's no special story behind this one: I got it as a birthday gift from my dad, which means he got it as a gag gift from his sister at some point and decided to regift it to me. It's a weird gifting pattern they have: she scrounges up things from her attic that she knows he'll hate, and if any of those items has any type of bird on it he'll remember he has it a few years later and it will wind up gift wrapped and given to me. I've received some very odd things this way, but this mug was a happy surprise.
In taking these pictures, I realized that though I use this mug at least every other day, I don't know that I ever really look at it. I just noticed this mug has holly leaves on it. It's weird, the things we miss when they're right in front of our faces.

I personally love it. We have some silly gift exchange traditions in our family too. Those are my favorite type of gift exchanges.Good morning mug people! Or chicken people? Either way, this mug has you covered.

I remember very little about camping at Mission Tejas state park, unfortunately. I do know there was a lot of interesting Texas history to read up on there, and that at one point a thunderstorm popped up and I spent hours crouching in a historical building with my husband and dog, convinced I was going to die. I am terrified of lightning, and normally you wouldn't catch me outside if there's even a hint of the possibility of deadly, malicious sky static, but there are a couple of times I've been caught by surprise while hiking. I really ought to paint a little lightning bolt onto this mug.
