I love those!Thanks! I love the rich, matte glazes you get on hand thrown and fired pottery. Not soft, but very silky to the touch.
I am not really a big collector, but I make the exception for pottery from our local artists (uh... and plants). Most of the pottery I have is from the 60s through mid 80s. The planter behind the mug was made by my sixth grade teacher, who was also a well known potter!
Although that favorite mug I got in Picton, New Zealand at an artists co-op there when I was sailing around the South Pacific in the 80s. It fits in my hand so perfectly with the little thumb tab. My mom, who lives with me, uses an almost identical one in more gray tones by the same artist.
