Story behind this mug: my mom had mugs like these when I was little. When we would come inside all frozen from playing in the snow she would make hot cocoa from scratch and serve it in the special mugs. I don’t remember them ever being used for anything else.

As adults in our 50s, my brother and sister and I were reminiscing about them, so I decided to try to find some on line. It took me a long time but I was able to find two. After some years I decided I wanted two more and after a long time searching I found a set of 6 on Etsy. I was going to send two to my sister and two to my brother. But one was cracked when they arrived, so I kept my two and sent 3 to my sister. She has a household of three anyway, so that worked out ok. (My brother never knew he almost got some. )
