Went to Joann Fabrics clearance sale yesterday and bought this clear(ance) mug. (Actually went to two locations because yarn was 40% off and the first store didn’t have that much selection. That didn’t stop me from damaging my wallet at both stores! Don’t tell DH!! )

I wouldn't have thought to look for mugs at Joann Fabrics, good find! The one store we have here in town has been closed for at least 2-3 weeks, sorry to see them go.

I could knit a little bit in 4th grade, but I just remember my piece getting wider and wider because I couldn’t stop splitting stitches. I tried again last year and all it took was one time of my needle slipping out of my work without being able to get it back on to make me quit!

I am planning to try again though, because one of my yarn purchases has a pattern on the label for a knitted afghan that I really like the look of. I plan to practice with some small stuff first though.

My grandma tried to teach me how to crochet. But she was a lefty and I'm a righty and her directions never made sense. I managed to turn out one very skewed afghan and then hung up the crochet hook for good.

No, that was another failed experiment. I used to sew a lot and did it for years but don't any more.

Now I putter around with other things (I especially like doing mosaics).
