Yellowstone is spectacular, if you ever get the chance to see it, go!

I will add it to my bucket list. DH watches the show but I don't think they actually film there. I can only imagine how it would look in person.

My son and I were in WY a couple weeks ago to see family. That was the first time we've been able to go back in about 2 years. Not much has changed (which was nice).

I hope that was a nice trip, and I think it's nice when it stays familiar. You can "see" your memories play out when you see certain places

This is the dachshund mug I got in a shop in Passau, Germany on Tuesday and have been drinking my Teeccino from it every morning on our river cruise down the Danube this week. We are in Bratislava, Slovakia today, and tomorrow is our last stop- Budapest.

Yes, that was a particularly nice stretch, the Wachau Valley in Austria with a lot of settlements going back to the Middle Ages. And of course mountains. So a lot of people took their breakfast up to the sun deck for the view while we ate. And, being an overcast day had its advantages, because we were having a lot of temps in the 90’s, but that morning without the sun was cool and comfortable.

I got to pet a wirehaired dachshund shortly before finding that mug, so I thought it was a fitting souvenir!

I miss that dog more than any of my beloved pets. He was a fabulous dog.

Back home now and today I’m going to use the mug I got in Vienna. We went to the Spanish Riding School to learn about the Lippizaner horses. (No show because the performance horses are in the country avoiding the summer heat. But we did get to see the non-performance horses in their stalls.)

It says “I’m the best horse in the stall”.
