What needs to be done to eggs

What do you need to do to the eggs after you collect them before you can eat them? Thanks

Nothing. unless there is poo or dirt on them and then wash them but don't wash them unless you are ready to eat them. Washing takes off the bloom and can allow bacteria into the shell.

Well....you should probably cook them before eating them

If you do need to wash them, should probably refrigerate after washing and letting them dry.
I just leave them on the counter if they don't need washing.

You can leave them on the counter, but they will "age" faster than if they are refrigerated, no matter if the bloom is on them or not.
