I listen to ska punk after the kids go to bed. You would have to know me to know how out of character that seems I suppose. I'm a middle age approaching, homeschooling, sunday school teaching, christian contemprary listening Mom.

Now ya know something noone knows about me

I particularly like Russian Ska..I have no idea what they are saying, but I sure like listening to it. Distemper is my favorite

Other than that I don't think there is anything out of the ordinary in this crowd. I take my garden and raising my livestock really serious, but thats not unusual here, but it is most everywhere else

I was born and raised southeast of New Orleans. My wife and I were married at 18. I had to retire medically at 40 and have been living in the hills of AR for the 10 years since. Having to retire at 40, we don't have everything that we want, but we have everything that we need (and that's not bad!)

We hope to have our coop finished in the next two weeks. We raise apples, peaches, plums, pears, cherries, assorted veggies, and ticks.

My wife, two children and I are devout Christians, avid amateur radio operators, and we bounce radio signals off of the moon and meteors to communicate with other radio amateurs. My wife would add that I am a practicing curmudgeon. I also enjoy a spirited game of full contact checkers.

That sounds wonderful! AR is very pretty from what I have seen of it

I tried to pretend I was normal for a long time, but now I just go with the insanity and am much happier.

I just thought of something else, I met and married my husband in three weeks. We met on a Friday, he proposed the following Friday and I told him he was crazy, then I proposed the next Friday and we married the next. We've been married for 13 yrs.

We also like geocaching, which isn't that unusual anymore I don't think. Its gotten pretty popular, but we hope to start equicachiing soon, which is pretty new.

My "friends" think I'm strange because I know how to use a slide rule AND an abacus. (but i'm faster than they are with a calculator)

I'm a General class ham radio nut.

Fly hang glider, paraglider, powered paraglider, and cessna 172.

When I'm not doing all that, I'm a Personal Chef. www.HALESKITCHEN.com

I'm tired......

Well, I was married at age 16. They said it wouldn't last 6 months. It will be 30 years this August. We have been blessed 4 beautiful children, 6 wonderful grandchildren, and are still very much in love. Not many people stay married 30 years these days, so I think that makes us different, but very very special

People think I'm strange for growing and preparing all my own food, raising my eggs, making my maple syrup on the woodstove, preparing butter, buttermilk, yogurt, blah, blah, blah. I'm lovingly called a "granola," but I bet on this site it's not that unusual

I don't have a TV, and I think that's a bit different.

I LOVE to exercise and do races, weave baskets and sew woven-ribbon purses, and I haven't met anybody who likes that, either

Hmm, what else? I'm rabid about world news, politics and current events. I have an enormous garden and sell CSA shares.

After reading all the above, what fascinating people on this forum!

My hubby and I have the original mixed marriage.
He's 100% Greek and knows where his grandparents are from...I'm the original mutt...
He's Orthodox and I'm an Eclectic Pagan.
I only have one kid which is one step away from Devil worship in my neighbourhood.
I've seen a UFO.
The house that I lived in growing up was "haunted".
