We are the average people. Hubby loves tv, I love books, he loves to paint, sculpt, do math and science, I love history, planning things and getting involved with everything. We both want several hundred acres of land with a nice home and swimming pool. He wants to raise cows and alpacas, I want more chickens and children. We have 5 children 9 and under and send them to public school and then homeschool through the summer. We both love to travel. I was married at 19 he was 22 and will celebrate 15 years of eternal bliss. We are just as normal as we can be.

I'm always impressed with the talent, creativity, and intelligence of people here on BYC, especially on this thread. It's truly amazing, the range of people on here, all united by a love of silly little chickens. Very, very cool.


PS: I'm so normal I'm putting myself to sleep as we speak.

I get called all sorts of names for cooking and baking from scratch, driving a truck powered by soybeans, using renewable energy, buying only local, seasonal foods and growing/raising my own. Homeschooling, no cable or satellite, no ipods or blackberries (well, actually I do have those, out in the garden) Happy to hear there are a few other "weirdos" out there like me!!

We don't subscribe to any organized religion. If you had to try and catergorize us, I guess you could say that I am a somewhat practicing witch and investigator and the children are earth-based Christians

We love our APBT and know he's not a bloodthirsty killer

Our children are named after animals and our animals mostly after people...

We didn't plan it that way, it just ends up happening that way

That's just a beginning..... there's just too much to list. But those are the ones that stick out the most I think
